Figgis

New Film Competition!
"Life Captured" by Sony Ericsson and Mike Figgis

Greetings!

Raindance is excited to announce that Mike Figgis has joined
forces with Sony Ericsson to create a pioneering new short film
made entirely out of everyday people's mobile phone
photographs.

Sony Ericsson - "Life Captured"
The film - titled 'Life Captured' - is being shown as part of the
16th Raindance Film Festival in London on the 2nd of October.
In true Figgis style this will be ground-breaking in every
sense; from content, to score, to production and beyond, the
final cut will be incredibly unique and definitely a first of its
kind.

Now Mike and Sony Ericsson need you to get involved! This is
your chance to work with an esteemeed international film
director so make sure you read on.

How To Enter
Mike is inviting budding filmmakers and anyone who wants to
showcase their own unique lives to submit a storyboard
consisting of mobile phone snapshots under time categories
that he has set.

Once uploaded, the storyboards can be viewed by anyone
from close friends to the biggest names in Hollywood.

Size Up Your Competition
There will also be a compare and contrast function on
theproject's website to view storyboards submitted from the
other participating countries around Europe, Middle East and
Africa -20 countries have signed up to date [only participating
countries can apply].

How Does It Work?
After viewing all of the storyboards submitted from around the
world, Mike will select a national winner from each
participating country. That person will then receive a personal
brief from him to capture images for the final film.

Each national winner will have four weeks to answer the brief
using the cutting edge new Sony Ericsson C902 Cyber-shot™
cameraphone, a handset that enables an unrivalled level of
speed - and spontaneity - in cameraphone photography. The
phone comes as part of the prize package for being selected
as a national winner - along with the kudos of having your
submission selected by Mike.

From there he will piece together the images to create the
final cut - 'Life Captured'.

Mike will also nominate five Outstanding Achievers who will
win a VIP trip for them and a friend to attend the film's red
carpet premiere at the Raindance Film Festival where all will
be revealed.

What Mike Says...

"Making a moving film out of everyday
people's still snapshots was a
challenging brief but I was
instantly
inspired by Sony Ericsson's aim to

reveal an unseen side of life across so
many
countries. Mobile phone
photographs are
increasingly being
used as an immediate and
exciting way
to capture life as it happens. This

intriguing film will compare every day
happenings and personal moments, providing a window into people's private worlds previously unseen."
