Me and Rhombus set off to Manchester to see Monkey : Journey To The West. It was part of the first Manchester International Festival.
Well I had to get this ticket as Rhombus and Bethan missed their alarm. Not sure why. Summat to do with Eve.
So what is it all about ? Well ..."The ancient Chinese legend (and popular 80s TV series) of the Monkey King's epic journey of enlightenment, is reworked as a dazzling circus opera spectacle involving more than 40 Chinese acrobats plus musicians, vocalists and martial arts performers. It was the first time I've been to see such a show. It was a shame we got there a bit and we didn't take any pictures of the actual show.
