        Gervais sends up advertisers

    Ricky Gervais was the first British celebrity
    approached for those Mac/PC adverts that
    you now see everywhere featuring Mitchell and
    Webb. Gervais turned up to meet the team of
    US executives behind the ad who then pitched
    him their idea of a "cool" guy and a "nerdy"
    guy representing a Mac and a PC.

    Gervais listened intently and then asked,
    poker faced, "So who are you thinking of
    getting to play the nerdy chap?"

    The suits looked at each other nervously,
    several squirmed in their seats, working out
    how to tell Gervais he'd got it wrong.
    And Ricky waited an absolute age before
    cracking a smile, saying "only kidding!"

        Comedian just wants to be a girl

    Users of the women's toilets in London club
    Coco were startled recently when a man
    ran in and threw himself on the floor
    writhing and screaming out,
    "But I want to be a girl, I want to be in here!"

    The man's girlfriend followed, and eventually
    pulled him to his feet and out of the toilets.
    Everyone else in the ladies just looked at
    each other in surprise. As the girl-wannabe
    was Mighty Boosh star Noel Fielding.

I'm awake and back to normal after the Easter break.

I'm off to bed for Easter, so I wont be able to visit the blog as much until Easter Monday.

UNDER THE SUN
August 1984: On a hot summer's weekend, twelve year old Viktor's bickering parents send him to stay with his auntie's family. Confused by the adult world and ignored by his family, Viktor's only solace comes in the form of his older cousin, giving him a sense of comfort and experience. When the cousin herself rejects Viktor at the public pools in favor of her peers, the young boy turns to drastic measures in order to simply feel something.

Nominated for Best Debut Feature at the 14th Raindance Film Festival and winner of the Kodak Vision Award at Slamdance this year.
